Postal Strike: How to avoid payment delays by enrolling in Pre-Authorized Deposit

As you may be aware, Canada Post has voted in favour of a strike beginning September 26, 2018. If you receive claims reimbursements by mail, a postal disruption could mean delays. To ensure that you continue to receive prompt reimbursement and maintain the best experience possible we recommend enrolling in Pre-Authorized Deposit (PAD).

Pre-Authorized Deposit (PAD) will safeguard you against delays or disruptions in the event of a strike. With direct deposit, funds are automatically deposited directly into your bank account.

How to enrol in Pre-Authorized Deposit for claims reimbursements

Please make sure you have all your banking information on hand before following these easy steps:

1. Log in to the secured Coughlin benefits portal:

2. On the home page click the Direct Deposit icon

3. Enter your banking information

4. Review and verify your information

5. Save

You can rest assured knowing that we have established security protocols in place. You will be notified immediately by email should any changes to your banking information occur.

For more information, please feel free to contact us at 1-888-204-1234 or at We welcome the opportunity to help in any way we can.
