CANADIAN APPRENTICE COMPETITION The 2022 Competition, held annually in conjunction with the Canadian Convention, was held in St. Johns NL this month (August). Local 8 was very pleased to be represented by Jake Raboud, who works out of Modern Niagara West Division, Edmonton Shop.Jake is shown here with his completed copper lobster trap. On June 26th, Local 8 officially opened our new training facility, located in the Local 8 Hall.
Guests included new BTA Executive Director James Gibbins, International Representative Garry Kot, representatives of the AIT as well as contractors and members.
